1. How do I create a MotoMoney account?

It’s quick and easy to set up a MotoMoney account! Simply follow these steps:

  1. Download the MotoMoney app from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Have your passport or valid identification document with you
  3. Complete the quick registration process using your mobile number and/or email address
  4. Verify your identity using a simple biometric identification process

And that’s it! You will be ready to use your MotoMoney account in a matter of minutes.


2. How do I top up my MotoMoney account?

Your MotoMoney account has an account number and sort code (for GBP accounts) or IBAN (for EUR accounts). You can transfer funds directly to this account. You can have your salary or wages paid directly into it, too!


3. What verification do I need to send money?

You will only be required to verify your identity once, when you sign up for a MotoMoney account. You will need your passport or a valid form of identification in order to do that. Once you identity has been verified you won’t have to do it again.


4. How long will it take for money to arrive?

Funds will arrive and be available at Victoria Forex Bureau collection points immediately. You can find your nearest collection point here. Victoria Forex Bureau are open Monday – Saturday from 8:00 – 16:00.


5. Where can money be collected from?

Your funds can be collected from any one of over 80 Victoria Forex Bureau branches across Malawi. You can find your nearest branch here.


6. What identification will I need to collect funds from a collection point?

You will needs to bring in a valid form of identification such as:

  • Passport
  • Driving license
  • National ID card
  • Government approved Refugee card.


7. How much does sending money from UK/Europe to Malawi cost?

MotoMoney does not charge any transaction fees to send money from the UK/Europe to Malawi.


8. Are there any hidden fees?

No. The amount that the app tells you will be sent to the recipient is the full amount that they will receive. No additional fees will be charged.


9. Is my money safe with Motomoney?
